Trust with all Your Heart
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding.”
(Proverbs 3:5-6)
Sometimes we find ourselves in circumstances that we cannot explain. We don’t understand how and for what reason these things are happening to us. We may not even know the solution to it or how can we get out of it and if we ever will.
Son of David, Solomon, wrote in the book of Psalms not to try to understand everything but simply put our trust into God and trust Him completely and entirely with our full heart. Trust that what is happening is a part of His good plan and that God will help us find the way out. It requires complete obedience and submissiveness to the circumstances we are in which at times, or I would say most of the time, is hard to do, especially for those people who do not know God. We tend to believe that we are in control of our lives and that we are the ones who require to do something to “help” change things for better. God doesn’t need our help. We need His help instead.
There are times when each of us may face various challenging situations in life, such as difficult relationships, issues at work, absence of true friends, loss of direction in life, divorce, you name it. Circumstances that we didn’t bring upon ourselves by doing something wrong. It just happened to us. The wounds that we get from going through this may hurt and we may get lost in the chain of thoughts of what? and how? and when? The more we think the deeper we may sink.
The scripture says to put our trust into the Lord. He is working on His Plan and His plan is always good. You may not see it right now but it is always good. It’s the best one actually.
Another verse that helps me to go through rough times is “The Lord is my strength and shield, my heart trusts in Him and He helps me.” (Psalm 28:7).
“The Lord is my strength and shield, my heart trusts in Him and He helps me.”
God gives us strength to go through any situation. When I look back at my life, I wonder how I even lived through those times. It wasn’t me but God who was there with me and for me, supporting and giving strength and hope. The Lord is our shield, He protects us. Nothing can happen to us when God is with us. The storm in life may rage but you will be safe amidst it and when it’s over and the sun comes up again, you are to praise the Lord for His goodness.
Trust the Lord with all your heart. And He helps us. First, we must put all our trust in God. Then you will witness miracles He does. He helped. He helps and He will always help those who trust in Him. He is true to His promises.
For example, when you accidently cut your finger, you know that the bleeding will stop and the injure will be healed over time. You trust this is exactly what will happen when you accidently cut yourself, dont you? You don’t panic, you don’t lose hope, but you obey the circumstances you are in and just bear the pain and trust that the cut will eventually heal. You do the right things of taking care of the wound and wait patiently for the healing which is for sure to come.
The same is with our spiritual wounds. When you are in a painful situation and are hurting, continue doing the right things and trust the Lord. The healing will come. He will work all things out for your good. Trust the Lord with all your heart.
Glory be to the LORD forever and ever. May You name be always praised.
Amen.
Live and Rejoice.
